The workshop "Confirming the Value of Our Agricultural Products," which took place on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at the new building of the Region of Thessaly, concluded with the best impressions. The event focused on the health claims of Greek Local & PDO - PGI* products, scientifically documented for the first time.

Many Greek Local products and PDO – PGI* products are renowned for their high nutritional value. However, this reputation has practical value when scientifically documented. In this context, the particularly significant event "Confirming the value of our agricultural products" will take place on Thursday, 04/07/24 at 10:30 a.m. in the Regional Council Hall of the Region of Thessaly (New Building, Larissa).

A delegation from the New Agriculture New Generation organization had the honor of attending an event in New York, at the invitation of the Consul General of Greece, to present the work implemented so far to representatives of the Greek diaspora.

An event with international interest in the field of aquaculture was held on Tuesday, June 11th, at the Museum of Cycladic Art, organized by the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations and the organization New Agriculture New Generation, with the support of the Hellenic Aquaculture Producers Organization (HAPO) and the Panhellenic Association of Ichthyologists (PASTI).

The organization New Agriculture New Generation announces the launch of the "Open Olive Cultivation Academy." This new educational initiative is designed in collaboration with the Municipality of Northern Kynouria and the Chamber of Arcadia, aiming to support and develop the primary sector of the region. It is implemented by the New Agriculture New Generation organization through the founding donation of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF).

In collaboration with the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM) of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the organization New Agriculture New Generation, the important event "Promoting Sustainable Small Scale Aquaculture in the Mediterranean" will take place in the Museum of Cycladic Art, on Tuesday, 11 June 2024 at 17:00, focusing on the sustainability of the small-scale aquaculture sector with international interest.

With highly engaging training sessions and a dense schedule of visits, the eighth three-day event of the Agrifood Leadership program, the first specialized Leadership program in Agrifood implemented by the organization New Agriculture New Generation in Greece, was concluded.

New Agriculture New Generation announces the launch of the “Social Farming 360” program, funded and supported by the Citi Foundation, in direct collaboration with the General Secretariat for Anti-Crime Policy of the Ministry of Citizen Protection, and with the participation of ActionAid and Pylh Eleftherias. The program aims to enhance food security, develop skills in vulnerable social groups, and develop new social farming products.

The bee plays a key role in the natural environment and the productive agri-food ecosystem as a pollinator of plants. Specifically, 90% of flowering plants and 71% of plants responsible for producing 90% of food depend directly on bees for pollination and reproduction.

The "Restarting Beekeeping in Thessaly" initiative, implemented by the organization New Agriculture New Generation, continues successfully. In April, the training program "Natural Disasters: Protection and Restoration of Beekeeping Capital," which is part of this initiative, took place in Karditsa with significant participation.

The organization New Agriculture New Generation and the company Barba Stathis collaborated on the design and implementation of a specialized training program aimed at the partner producers of the company. The goal was to further develop their technical skills on current themes in the agri-food sector.

The 5th consecutive year of the successful agri-food business acceleration program, “AgroAnelixi - Farmers of the Future,” has been announced by New Agriculture New Generation. This program targets cooperatives, processing units, businesses, producer groups, farmers, livestock farmers, beekeepers, and home-based enterprises that process or wish to process their production to create new differentiated products or further develop the products they already produce. Applications can be submitted until Sunday, June 2nd.

The seventh experiential weekend of the Agrifood Leadership program, the first specialized leadership program in Agri-Food implemented by the New Agriculture New Generation organization, has concluded.

The conclusions from independent reports on the socioeconomic impact of the New Agriculture New Generation organization can be characterized as particularly satisfactory.

For the 4th consecutive year, the organization joins the Delphi Economic Forum as a Programming Partner, presenting, in collaboration with Rutgers University, a panel discussion on the skills that modern professionals in agriculture need to possess.

This visit took place from March 4th to 7th, 2024, within the framework of the first specialized leadership program in Agriculture and Food implemented by the organization New Agriculture New Generation.

The organization "New Agriculture New Generation" announces the support from the Region of Thessaly for the action "Restart of Beekeeping in Thessaly", which has been active since January 27, 2024, and consists of two different support programs for beekeepers in Thessaly.

The fifth experiential three-day session of the Agrifood Leadership program, the first specialized leadership program in Agriculture and Food implemented by the organization New Agriculture New Generation, was successfully held in Kalamata from February 23rd to 25th. The sponsor for this session was the Union of Messinia. The goal of the Agrifood Leadership program is to provide participants with the opportunity to become part of a community of leaders, network with accomplished professionals in the field of Agriculture and Food, and discuss new trends in production, processing, and the supply chain.
